Who Are We? (In Brief)

We are a dedicated group of young professionals, united by a common purpose to serve and uplift society. Our mission is to cultivate a compassionate and equitable community where every individual is empowered, respected, and provided with the opportunities needed to lead a dignified and fulfilling life. By leveraging our diverse skills, knowledge, and passion, we strive to support the underprivileged, and foster an environment of inclusivity and growth for all.

About Us

Our Story

Agape Foundations was conceived on September 1, 2022, during a visit to a friend’s residence near Basinga, Mayurbhanj, Odisha. On our return journey, we encountered an individual in a destitute state, abandoned and without anyone to care for him. This encounter deeply moved us and inspired the establishment of Agape Foundations, guided by a Divine calling to create a sanctuary for the destitute.

As we engaged more closely with the community, we identified a significant need for skill development among the younger generation. This understanding underscored the importance of equipping these individuals with essential skills to enhance their future prospects and contribute positively to society.

Moreover, our observations brought to light the urgent need for women’s empowerment in rural areas. We found that women often lacked access to opportunities that could improve their socioeconomic conditions. In response, we focused on forming self-help groups for women, designed to empower them and provide the necessary support to achieve economic independence and social advancement.

To formalize our commitment and enhance our ability to serve the community, Agape Foundations was officially registered as a Trust under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, on March 28, 2024 at Tamil Nadu. This registration represents a significant milestone in our journey and reinforces our dedication to addressing these diverse needs—from providing care for the destitute to promoting skill development and women’s empowerment.

Our Programs

Current Project

  • Skill Development: DOST (Digital Odisha Skill Training)
    • Our skill development training programs are designed to enhance computer proficiency, providing essential skills for sustainable employment and entrepreneurship. We focus on both foundational computer skills and advanced technical training, to ensure participants are well-equipped for today’s job market and entrepreneurial ventures.
